Turn Word documents into images

Sometimes you need a document as a picture rather than a file: to post a page on social media, embed it in a presentation or website, send a preview in a chat, or share content that recipients can't easily edit. Word to JPG converts each page of a DOC or DOCX file into a high-quality JPG image.

How it works

  1. Upload your document (DOC, DOCX, ODT or RTF, up to 25 MB).
  2. Our server converts it to PDF using LibreOffice, preserving layout, tables and images.
  3. Your browser renders each page as a JPG at the resolution you chose.
  4. Download a single image, or a ZIP with one JPG per page.

Use cases

  • Social media: share a flyer, menu, certificate or announcement as an image.
  • Websites and blogs: show document pages without requiring a download.
  • Presentations: insert pages as slides.
  • Messaging apps: send readable previews on WhatsApp, Telegram or Slack.
  • Thumbnails: create preview images for document libraries.

Privacy

Uploaded documents are stored in an isolated temporary folder only for the seconds it takes to convert them, then deleted. They're never kept, viewed or shared.

Frequently asked questions

How does the conversion work?

Our server converts the document to PDF with LibreOffice, then your browser renders each PDF page as a JPG. Only the PDF step happens on the server, and files are deleted right afterwards.

Which resolution should I choose?

150 DPI is ideal for screens and sharing. Choose 300 DPI for printing or zooming in, and 100 DPI for small previews.

Why do some fonts look different?

If your document uses fonts that aren't available on our server, LibreOffice substitutes similar ones. Embedding fonts in Word (File → Options → Save → Embed fonts) improves fidelity.

Can I convert only one page?

All pages are converted. Download the ZIP and keep the pages you need.

Are my images uploaded?

Most image tools run in your browser. Only Word→JPG, JPG→Word and JPG→HEIC send the file to our server, where it is processed and deleted right away.

Can I convert several images at once?

Yes. Drop multiple files and download them one by one or as a ZIP.

Will converting reduce quality?

Lossless formats like PNG keep full quality. For JPG and WebP you can pick the quality level yourself.
