How to use the crop box
- Move: drag inside the box.
- Resize: drag a corner or edge handle.
- Lock a ratio: choose a preset; the box keeps that shape as you resize.
- Free crop: choose Free to resize each side independently.
Composition tips
- Rule of thirds: place your subject about a third of the way in, not dead center.
- Leave space in front of faces and moving subjects.
- Crop at joints carefully: avoid cutting people at the knees, elbows or ankles.
- Check the final size: cropping small areas of low-resolution images can look blurry.
