How many grams are in 1 tola?

1 tola is 11.6638 grams (exactly 180 grains). This is the standard used for gold in Pakistan, India, Nepal and the Gulf.

How many masha and ratti are in a tola?

1 tola = 12 masha, and 1 masha = 8 ratti, so 1 tola = 96 ratti. One masha is about 0.972 g and one ratti about 0.1215 g.

How many tola are in 10 grams?

About 0.857 tola. Indian gold rates are often quoted per 10 grams, while Pakistani rates are quoted per tola.

Is a troy ounce the same as a normal ounce?

No. A troy ounce (31.1035 g), used for gold and silver, is heavier than an ordinary avoirdupois ounce (28.3495 g).

Why do land units like marla and bigha have different sizes?

They're traditional units that were standardized differently in different places. A marla is 272.25 sq ft in revenue records but 225 sq ft in many Lahore housing societies, and a bigha varies widely between Indian states. The converters let you choose the size used in your area.
