Smaller files

Resizing is the most effective way to shrink a photo: halving the width and height cuts the pixel count by 75%. For even smaller files, follow up with the Image Compressor or save as WebP.

Crop an image to change its framing, rotate or flip it, or convert formats with JPG to WebP.

How to use the Image Resizer

  1. Drag and drop your files into the upload area, or click Choose files.
  2. Set any options, such as quality, page size or page ranges.
  3. Click the convert button. Processing happens right in your browser.
  4. Download each result individually, or all of them as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Will resizing reduce image quality?

Making an image smaller keeps it sharp; this tool scales down in several steps to avoid jagged edges. Enlarging can't add detail, so big upscales look soft.

How do I resize without stretching?

Use 'Width', 'Height', 'Percentage' or 'Fit inside box'. They all keep the original proportions. Only 'Exact width × height' can stretch the image.

Which format should I save as?

JPG for photos (small files), PNG for screenshots, logos and transparency, and WebP for the smallest files on websites.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Resizing happens in your browser, so even private photos stay on your device.

Are my images uploaded?

Most image tools run in your browser. Only Word→JPG, JPG→Word and JPG→HEIC send the file to our server, where it is processed and deleted right away.

Can I convert several images at once?

Yes. Drop multiple files and download them one by one or as a ZIP.

Will converting reduce quality?

Lossless formats like PNG keep full quality. For JPG and WebP you can pick the quality level yourself.
