Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate the price of 22K gold?

Multiply the 24K rate by 22 ÷ 24 (about 91.7%). If 24K gold is 400,000 per tola, 22K is about 366,667 per tola.

How are making charges calculated?

Jewellers charge either a percentage of the gold value (often 5–25% depending on the design) or a fixed amount per gram. Choose the method your jeweller uses.

Why is the 24K rate my jeweller quotes different?

Local rates include market premiums and vary between cities and shops, and they change through the day. Enter the rate you were quoted to see the value of your piece.

What does 21K gold mean?

21 parts gold out of 24, or 87.5% pure. It's popular for jewellery in Pakistan and the Gulf, while 22K is more common in India.

Why do land units like marla and bigha have different sizes?

They're traditional units that were standardized differently in different places. A marla is 272.25 sq ft in revenue records but 225 sq ft in many Lahore housing societies, and a bigha varies widely between Indian states. The converters let you choose the size used in your area.

Are size charts the same for every brand?

No. The charts use common international equivalents, but brands can differ by up to half a shoe size or one clothing size. Check the brand's own chart when you can.

Do these converters work offline?

Yes. Once a page has loaded, every converter works in your browser without a connection.
