Frequently asked questions

How do I find a good meeting time across time zones?

Add each participant's city and look for rows marked with a star, where it's between 9:00 and 17:00 everywhere. If there aren't any, pick an amber row, which is early morning or early evening for someone.

What if there's no overlap at all?

With wide time differences (for example California and India) there may be no shared working hour. Rotate inconvenient slots between participants, or split into two meetings.

Why does the date matter?

Clocks change on different dates in different countries, so the gap between cities can change by an hour. Planning for the actual date avoids mistakes.

Can I share the result?

Click a row, then Copy to get the meeting time in every participant's city, ready to paste into an invite or chat.

Do these tools handle daylight saving time?

Yes. Conversions use your browser's up-to-date time-zone database, so clock changes in the US, Europe and elsewhere are applied for the exact date you choose.

Which cities can I search?

Around 2,800 cities worldwide, plus common time-zone names such as UTC, GMT, EST, PST, CET, IST, PKT and GST.

Is anything saved?

Your chosen city lists are remembered in your own browser so they're ready next time. Nothing is sent to a server.
