Business card tips

  • Keep it simple: name, title and two or three ways to contact you.
  • Use contrast: dark text on a light background (or the reverse) is easiest to read.
  • Check every detail before printing a batch.
  • Use thick card: 300–350 gsm feels professional.

Frequently asked questions

What size is a business card?

The standard size in the US, Canada and much of South Asia is 3.5 × 2 inches (89 × 51 mm). In Europe it's often 85 × 55 mm. This maker creates 3.5 × 2 inch cards at 300 dpi (1050 × 600 pixels).

Can I print the card myself?

Yes, on thick card stock, but a print shop gives better results. Send them the PNG and ask whether they need bleed (extra background around the edges) for coloured designs.

Why add a QR code?

People can scan it with their phone camera to open your website instantly, instead of typing the address.

What should a business card include?

Your name, job title, company, phone, email and website. Add an address if customers visit you, and keep it uncluttered.

Are these documents really free?

Yes. There's no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many documents you create.

Is my business data stored on your servers?

No. Everything you type stays in your browser. Your latest draft is saved only in this browser on this device, so it's there next time you open the page.

How do I save a PDF?

Click Download PDF and choose “Save as PDF” as the destination in the print window. This works in Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on computers and phones, and supports any language and currency symbol.
