Frequently asked questions

How do I download the invoice as a PDF?

Click Download PDF. Your browser's print window opens; choose “Save as PDF” (or “Microsoft Print to PDF”) as the destination and save. Only the invoice is included, on A4 pages.

What should an invoice include?

Your business name and contact details, the customer's details, a unique invoice number, the invoice date and due date, a description of each item with quantity and price, taxes, the total due, and how to pay. Registered businesses should also show their tax number (such as NTN, GSTIN or VAT number).

Is my data saved?

Your latest invoice is saved in this browser so you can come back to it. Nothing is uploaded. Click New to start the next invoice: your business details are kept and the invoice number goes up by one.

Can I add GST or VAT?

Yes. Enter the tax name (for example GST or VAT) and the percentage. It's calculated on the subtotal after any discount.

Are these documents really free?

Yes. There's no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many documents you create.

Is my business data stored on your servers?

No. Everything you type stays in your browser. Your latest draft is saved only in this browser on this device, so it's there next time you open the page.

How do I save a PDF?

Click Download PDF and choose “Save as PDF” as the destination in the print window. This works in Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on computers and phones, and supports any language and currency symbol.
