How fairness is guaranteed

Simple random generators often use random() × range, which can make some numbers very slightly more likely. This generator uses rejection sampling on 32-bit random values, so every number in the range has exactly the same probability.

Duplicates or not?

  • With duplicates (default): each number is independent, like rolling a die repeatedly.
  • No duplicates: like drawing numbered balls from a bag without putting them back. You can't ask for more numbers than the range contains.

Frequently asked questions

Are the numbers truly random?

They come from your browser's cryptographically secure generator (crypto.getRandomValues), with rejection sampling so that every number in the range is equally likely. That's suitable for games, draws and sampling.

Are the minimum and maximum included?

Yes. A range of 1 to 10 can produce both 1 and 10.

How do I pick lottery numbers?

Click the 'Lottery 1–49' preset: it generates 6 different numbers, sorted. Change the range and count to match your lottery's rules.

Can I use this for official prize draws?

It's fair, but official draws may have legal requirements, such as an independent witness. Record the draw (for example on screen) if transparency matters.

Are the random results fair?

Yes. The wheel, random number generator, coin flip and dice use your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) with unbiased sampling, so every outcome is equally likely.

Do these tools work offline or on my phone?

They run entirely in your browser and work on phones, tablets and computers. Once a page has loaded, most tools keep working without a connection.

Is anything I type saved on your servers?

No. The notepad saves notes only in your own browser's local storage, and nothing else you enter is stored.
