Output formats

FormatBest for
JSONAPIs, JavaScript apps, NoSQL databases, test fixtures
CSVExcel, Google Sheets, bulk imports
SQL INSERTSeeding MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server or SQLite tables

Example (JSON)

{ "id": 1, "name": "Nimra Gillani", "email": "nimra.gillani62@example.com", "phone": "+92 324 3612201", "city": "Hyderabad", "country": "Pakistan" }

Good practice

  • Never use real customer data for testing; it's a privacy risk.
  • Test edge cases too: very long names, empty fields and special characters.
  • Keep test and production databases separate.

Frequently asked questions

What is fake test data used for?

Developers and testers use it to fill databases, test forms and imports, build demos and design mock-ups without exposing real customers' personal information.

Are the email addresses and phone numbers real?

Emails use example.com, example.org and example.net, which are reserved for documentation and can never belong to anyone. US numbers use 555-01xx and UK numbers 07700 900xxx, ranges reserved for fiction. Pakistani, Indian and UAE numbers are random and could match real numbers, so never call or message them.

Can I import the data into Excel or Google Sheets?

Yes. Choose CSV, download the file and open or import it. The first row contains the column names.

Can I use it to create accounts on real websites?

No. The data is for testing your own systems. Using fake identities on other services may break their terms or the law.

Is the randomness fair?

Yes. Team splits, draws and brackets use your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator with unbiased shuffling, so every arrangement is equally likely.

Is the test data real?

No. Names are common names combined at random, emails use the reserved example.com domains, and US and UK phone numbers come from ranges reserved for fiction. Don't use generated data to contact anyone.

Is anything I enter saved?

No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
