Frequently asked questions

How do I post a full photo on Instagram without cropping?

Tick 'Pad to square'. The photo is centered on a square canvas with even borders, so Instagram shows the whole picture.

How wide should a border be?

Around 2–5% of the image width looks clean on screen. For a gallery-style frame, try 8–10% in white or cream.

Why are images with rounded corners saved as PNG?

The rounded corners are transparent outside the curve, and only PNG keeps that transparency. Choose a border color to fill them instead.

Does it change the photo itself?

No. The photo is placed unchanged in the middle of the new, larger canvas.

Are my images uploaded?

Most image tools run in your browser. Only Word→JPG, JPG→Word and JPG→HEIC send the file to our server, where it is processed and deleted right away.

Can I convert several images at once?

Yes. Drop multiple files and download them one by one or as a ZIP.

Will converting reduce quality?

Lossless formats like PNG keep full quality. For JPG and WebP you can pick the quality level yourself.
