Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to paste HTML from unknown sources?

Yes. The HTML is parsed with the browser's DOMParser into an inert document, so scripts never run and images, iframes and other resources are never loaded.

How are tables converted?

Each row goes on its own line, with cells separated by tabs, so you can paste the result into a spreadsheet.

Can I convert a whole web page?

Yes. Paste the page source (or upload an .html file). Navigation, footers and other page furniture are kept as text, so you may want to trim them afterwards.

What happens to images?

They're removed. Only text content, and optionally link URLs, is kept.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. All text tools run locally in your browser.

Do these tools support Unicode?

Yes. They handle Unicode text, including emoji and accented characters.
