Frequently asked questions

PDF to PNG or PDF to JPG?

PNG is lossless, so text, diagrams and screenshots stay perfectly sharp; it's ideal for documentation, slides and design tools. JPG makes much smaller files and is better for photo-heavy pages.

Which resolution should I choose?

72 DPI for quick previews and web thumbnails, 150 DPI for slides and screens, and 300 DPI for printing or zooming in on detail.

Are transparent backgrounds supported?

Pages are rendered on a white background, as they appear in a PDF viewer.

How big will the images be?

An A4 page at 150 DPI is about 1240 × 1754 pixels; at 300 DPI, about 2480 × 3508 pixels.

Do you add a watermark?

No. The output files are clean and have no watermark.

Are my PDFs stored?

Merge, split, extract and remove run in your browser. Word/PowerPoint conversions are processed on our server and deleted immediately afterwards.

Is there a page limit?

No hard limit. Very large files may take longer depending on your device.
