Write any number in words
Checks, contracts, invoices, legal documents and many style guides require amounts written out in words. Number to Words spells out any number correctly, including hyphens, scale words and the special check-writing format.

Filling in a check
- Write the figures in the amount box, e.g. 1,234.50.
- Write the words on the line: One thousand two hundred and thirty-four and 50/100.
- Add dollars and draw a line through the remaining space.

Spelling rules worth knowing
- Hyphenate compound numbers from twenty-one to ninety-nine: forty-two.
- Don't pluralize scale words after a number: three thousand, not three thousands.
- Use "and" sparingly in US English; reserve it for the decimal or cents part on checks.
