Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate crypto profit?

Coins = (Investment − buy fee) ÷ buy price. Proceeds = Coins × sell price − sell fee. Profit = Proceeds − Investment.

What fees do crypto exchanges charge?

Trading fees typically range from about 0.1% to 0.6% per trade on major exchanges, and can be 1.5% or more for instant 'buy with card' purchases. Withdrawal and network fees may also apply.

What is the break-even price?

The selling price at which you get back exactly what you invested after both fees. You need to sell above it to make a profit.

Do I have to pay tax on crypto profits?

In many countries, yes. Crypto gains are often treated as capital gains or income. Rules vary widely, so check your local tax authority's guidance.

Are these calculators financial advice?

No. They do the math on the numbers you enter and are meant for planning and comparison. For decisions about investments, taxes or loans, check with a qualified adviser or your lender.

Is my financial information stored?

No. Everything except the currency rates runs in your browser, and nothing you enter is sent to a server or saved.

Which currency symbols can I use?

Every calculator has a currency selector (USD, EUR, GBP, INR, PKR, JPY/CNY, AED or none). Your choice is remembered on this device.
