  3. Update the controller's firmware.
  4. If drift persists, the stick module may need replacing; check the warranty first.

Frequently asked questions

Why doesn't my controller show up?

Browsers only reveal a controller after you press a button on it while the page is open. If it still doesn't appear, reconnect it, try another USB cable or port, re-pair it over Bluetooth, or try Chrome or Edge.

How do I check for stick drift?

Leave both sticks untouched and watch their values. They should stay close to 0.00. Values that stay above about 0.10, or a dot that slowly moves on its own, indicate drift.

Why are my button names wrong?

Controllers using the standard layout get named buttons (A/Cross, LB/L1 and so on). Others show numbered buttons because the browser can't tell which is which.

Why doesn't vibration work?

Vibration support depends on the browser and controller. Chrome and Edge support it for Xbox and most PlayStation controllers; other browsers may not.

Are my camera and microphone recorded?

No. Audio and video are processed live in your browser and never uploaded. The only recording is the optional 5-second mic playback, which stays on your device and disappears when you leave the page.

Why does my browser ask for permission?

Browsers require your permission before any site can use your camera or microphone. You can revoke it at any time from the icon in the address bar.

Do these tests work on phones?

Most do: mic, webcam, speaker, screen, reaction time and click tests work on phones and tablets. The keyboard, mouse and gamepad testers need those devices connected.
