Tips for unscrambling words
- Find common endings first. Look for -ING, -ED, -ER, -LY, -ION and -EST, then work out the rest.
- Pair consonants that go together, such as TH, CH, SH, ST, BL and TR.
- Put the vowels between consonants and say the possibilities out loud.
- Rearrange the letters in your head: start with a likely first letter and see what follows.
