Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate my car's fuel average?

Fill the tank, reset the trip meter, drive normally, then fill up again. Divide the kilometres driven by the litres needed to refill: 450 km on 30 litres is 15 km per litre.

How do I convert km/L to L/100km?

Divide 100 by the km per litre figure. 15 km/L is 100 ÷ 15 = 6.67 litres per 100 km.

Why are US and UK mpg different?

A UK (imperial) gallon is 4.546 litres, while a US gallon is 3.785 litres. The same car shows a higher mpg figure in UK gallons.

Is a lower L/100km better?

Yes. L/100km measures fuel used, so lower is better. km per litre and mpg measure distance per fuel, so higher is better.

Why do land units like marla and bigha have different sizes?

They're traditional units that were standardized differently in different places. A marla is 272.25 sq ft in revenue records but 225 sq ft in many Lahore housing societies, and a bigha varies widely between Indian states. The converters let you choose the size used in your area.

Are size charts the same for every brand?

No. The charts use common international equivalents, but brands can differ by up to half a shoe size or one clothing size. Check the brand's own chart when you can.

Do these converters work offline?

Yes. Once a page has loaded, every converter works in your browser without a connection.
